ToolShake started with a very specific frustration. A friend of mine — a ceramics maker who had quietly built a small, loyal following — realized one afternoon that she was @claylark on Instagram, @clay_lark on TikTok, @thelarkstudio on Etsy, and claylarkceramics everywhere else. People who loved her work on one app genuinely could not find her on another. Nothing was broken, exactly. It was just scattered, and scattered is expensive when you are trying to build a name.

That is the whole reason this site exists. We are not another dump of developer utilities or a hashtag machine. ToolShake is built for the setup stage — the moment a creator, freelancer, or small brand is deciding who they are online and needs to lock that identity in cleanly across every platform. We focus on three things and try to do them genuinely well: claiming a consistent username, writing a bio that actually works within each platform's limits, and building the single link-in-bio page that ties it all together.

I'm the editor here. I spent years helping independent makers and early-stage brands tidy up their online presence before it calcified into something they were stuck with, and every tool on this site comes from a real request I heard more than once. We test each one against the actual character limits and formatting quirks of the platforms people care about, and we update them when those platforms change the rules — which they do, constantly and without warning.

Everything here is free, runs in your browser, and never asks you to create an account just to check whether a handle is taken.
